Summary

Set the strategic education and documentation direction for our 6000+ customers and over 3500 employees. I have lead and managed a team of highly skilled technical writers, instructional designers, and content creators in a fast paced, global organization. My passion is driving process improvement and developing individuals into highly effective contributors. My experience spans the gamut of the learning experience, from content design and development using the ADDIE process to administration of reports and metrics driven thought leadership post execution. In addition, I have utilized design thinking best practices to understand the needs of the learner and implemented changes in our UX/UI for learning engagement.

I am proficient in public speaking and presentation skills, and work within several layers of management all the way up to the C-suite. As an effective communicator, problem solver, and team player I understand the needs of learners of all levels, and the vision to develop solutions in response to those needs.

Experience

Omnitracs: Sr. Manager, Training and Documentation 2018 - 2021

  • Led a global team (Employees in the US, Mexico and India) of 4 Technical Trainers, 4 Technical Writers, and 2 Graphic Designers to support Training and Documentation for the entire organization.
  • Implemented a training strategy that spans a global market with multi-language support.
  • Led the curriculum, organization, and logistics for the annual user conference with over 1,200 customer attendees. Outlook User Conference
  • Work with VPs of Product, Engineering, Program, Marketing, and Sales to define the strategy and vision for customer training and onboarding.
  • Consolidated the Knowledge Management System (Mindtouch) to improve efficiency with a cost savings of over $35k.
  • Responsible for the development, review, and execution of training programs that are in line with the company’s goals and mission.
  • Founding Member of the Latinx Employee Resource Group.

Omnitracs: Manager, Training and Documentation ES BU 2016 - 2018

  • Led a team of 5 Technical Trainers for the “Over The Road” section of the business.
  • Designed training strategy and curriculum development with Instructional Designers in the group.
  • Partnered with marketing to create training sessions for the annual user conference with over 1,000 attendees.
  • Worked within Product Management to create training deliverables and documentation for product training.
  • Implemented a new training website with over 3,000 active weekly users.

Omnitracs: Sr. Technical Training Specialist 2015 - 2016

  • Training Lead in charge of e-learning development for Hardware product training.
  • Focus was on e-learning development and product documentation for flagship hardware product, Omnitracs Intelligent Vehicle Gateway).
  • Implemented snippet training videos to the standard training offering for products to the delight of our customers.

Dell Services: Learning & Development Specialist 2008 - 2015

  • Project manager for the creation of in-class training and online/virtual training.
  • UX/UI designer for various sales enablement programs.
  • Created and managed a Sales Onboarding portal for new hire Salesmakers to access various company programs.
